Head's Welcome
Welcome to Oaksey C of E Primary School! I am very proud to be Headteacher of our small village school at the heart of our community. Oaksey is a special place to learn and I hope you feel the warm, friendly environment as soon as you walk through the door. At Oaksey we pride ourselves on building strong relationships, creating a sense of belonging and ensuring that every child feels supported, challenged and celebrated. Our school vision 'As individuals we let our light shine, but we shine brighter together,' encapsulates this.

Rounders Festival
Well done to our Year 6 rounders team who enjoyed an afternoon of rounders at Malmesbury Secondary with other local schools. The team came second overall out of six schools, with just a few rounders separating us from Malmesbury, the winning team. Grace also won an award for encouraging others and Charles one for his determination. What a great afternoon!
Hoodwinked - What a Show!
What an adventure we had on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week! Arrows flying, disguises everywhere, and a very bad-tempered sheriff... Congratulations to our brilliant actors who brought their roles to life through confident acting and great singing. It's been a lot of fun! Check out the Galleries section for more photos.
Cricket Stars
Congratulations to our Year 5/6 cricket players who took part in Monday's tournament at Malmesbury Cricket Club. The team played brilliantly winning 3 matches and losing 1. This put us in the same position as another team so runs were counted, putting us in 2nd place (of 5 teams) overall. Well done on a fantastic result and great sportsmanship. Go team!
Netball Success
Well done to our netball team who won their final league match of the year 7 - 1 at Lea and Garsdon. It was a very entertaining match and there was some great play from both teams (including some brilliant goal shooting from the back of the D!) We look forward to the league results when all schools have played their matches. Well done Team Oaksey!
Volunteers' Week
This week is Volunteers' Week - a week that takes place on the first week in June to recognise and celebrate volunteers in the UK. We would like to thank everyone who volunteers with us at school - be it listening to readers, gardening, organising books, accompanying children on trips/library visits or filling sandbags. Thank you all for making such a positive difference.
